Introduction
The term "not applicable" has been replaced with ‘excluded.’ While the function remains the same, we believe that this new terminology suits recent improvements much better.
To recollect: requirements can be excluded for various reasons:
- The suitable edition of the standard was selected via the “requirement transitions” option, the other editions became redundant.
- An alternative standard was chosen for the risk assessment and added manually, replacing the proposed requirement.
- The requirement is considered not suitable, based on the details or specifications of the product or material.
- The requirement is not addressed in the present technical file but in another file and/or by another party.
In all cases, it is recommended to attach an explanatory note to the “exclude” requirement.
