Effective from July 2024 the German Consumer Goods Ordinance, Bedarfsgegenständeverordnung (BedGgstV), requires notification (Anzeige) for businesses that bring food contact materials and articles to the German market. Company details and the food contact material group must be submitted to each federal state (Bundesland) where these articles are marketed. Companies that are already selling food contacts materials have until 31 October 2024 to comply.
