Is there a flaw in the list of Harmonised European Standards under the new EMC Directive 2014/30/EU? It seems there is.
Several standards are not mentioned in the list of Harmonised Standards without any reason within the technical content that prevents them to be listed. Some of the old standards are in fact already no longer valid.
Partners from the TIC industry (Testing Inspection and Certification) have raised this issue in Brussel but so far without any corrective actions. When asked what standards fo follow market surveillance authorities are confirming that it is appropriate to follow the new standard editions as mentioned in the comprehensive requirement list as generated by the ProductIP platform. Same goes for the RED directive.
