Product Compliance Officer Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) (location NL)

We believe in focusing on where you can make a difference – for us that is product compliance. Our challenge is to enable our customers to have a profitable business while acting responsibly and sustainably. With our unique software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution we provide producers, brand owners and (online) retailers with the tools, knowledge and confidence to do business responsibly. Together we realise a world in which products can be trusted!

Naturally, all products must be safe and reliable. But these days, it is more and more about sustainability, reusable materials and possible social malpractices. To help our thousands of customers take steps and responsibility in an understandable and accessible way, we are looking for a Product Compliance Officer specifically for Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) legislation

What you will do

  • You understand the ESG-related information needs of our customers and design new functionalities in our SaaS solution to anticipate on this.
  • You identify and analyse the relevant trends in the non-food product sector and apply these insights.
  • You translate complex legislation into appealing stories and examples to inspire and inform customers.

The team

The backbone of our services is the expert knowledge provided by our regulatory team. Our regulatory experts are located mainly in the Netherlands and Germany. We work flexibly and meet each other at the office every Wednesday. Our scope is non-food consumer and professional products. One of the challenges we currently face is the tsunami of new legislation coming from Brussels. An important part of our job is to translate legislation into understandable requirements and actions for our customers. Will you contribute to our ambitions and become part of our team?

Your background

  • You have a higher professional level of working and thinking, with at least three years of experience, preferably in a product compliance role.
  • You have experience with retail sourcing and knowledge of how a product gets from factory to store and the world behind it.
  • You have knowledge of the information that must be present in the supply chain to meet ESG obligations.
  • You have an understanding and feel for the challenges our customers face.
  • You have persuasive communication skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • You speak and write English fluently, preferably also Dutch.

About us

We at ProductIP are widely recognised for our expertise in product compliance. Our knowledge and experience have been gained by working towards our ambitious goal: a world in which products can be trusted. We are very committed to the environmental and social challenges that are inseparably linked to this.

We might be a bit stubborn and headstrong at times, but we have a high-quality standard and take compliance very seriously. We cherish our down to earth culture and the family-like atmosphere. With more than 60 employees at five locations in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and China, we are modest in size, but the impact of what we do is less modest: ProductIP represents over 50 billion euros in trade for our 25,000+ users, and our significance is growing daily.

What you can expect

  • A challenging position in a growing company with serious ambitions.
  • A hybrid workplace – we meet at the office in Ede at least every Wednesday.
  • A competitive salary.
  • Making impact together!

We do not (yet) live in a world where products can be trusted. So, there is work to be done!
